Through a partnership with another rescue, Geauga Moms and Pups, we pulled handsome Leroy to find a loving forever home. Leroy is a male hound mix that currently weighs 31 pounds and is 5 months old. DOB is 8-4-24. Leroy will be a very big dog when full grown. Leroy is a very shy but happy boy. He would benefit from having an adopter willing to help him continue building his confidence. He was fostered with other dogs. In fact, we would recommend a resident confident dog in the home to help show Leroy the ropes. Leroy was in a foster home through the rescue and was around horses, chickens, and teen children. He did well with everyone. He will need help with general obedience, leash training, housetraining and socialization. Leroy loves to play fetch and has already learned how to sit on command. He is available for our foster to adopt program which means you can foster him in your home until he finishes vetting which includes vaccines and microchip. Leroy is already neutered. Interview
Potential adopters are interviewed initially by phone or email and then again during the meet and greet. All family members should attend.

If you have submitted an application online we will contact you within 72 hours with any information you need to know for adoption.

Interview and interaction - find the right fit for the family and new pet and a meet if this will be a second dog in the home.

At Parma Animal Shelter, we do not adopt our animals out as gifts or surprises. We believe that adopting a pet is a significant commitment and should be a well-considered decision. Therefore, we reserve the right to refuse any adoption to ensure the best match for both the animal and the adopter.
All of our animals are microchipped, tested for disease, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and internal parasites, and given lots of loving care during their stay with us. We are dedicated to meeting their medical needs and do our best to socialize them.

We are open daily from 5:00 to 7:00 pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00-12 noon.
