-He walks pretty good once leashed. He’s a little nervous of a leash as it seems new to him. Doorways are a little scary and he needs some coaxing to go through.
-He’s super friendly and dopey. A lapdog who doesn’t realize his size. He’ll plop right on your legs.
-Loves butt scratches and it gets his whole body wiggling
-Gives a few kisses
-Likes treats, sits and takes them gently. Ate the chicken jerky but not the milk bones.
-Doesn’t have much interest in toys currently
-Paws at you when he wants more attention
-Half rolls over with his butt in the air for scratches
-He’s slightly timid and just awkward when trying to ask for affection. He’s a very good boy though!
-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros

•Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment.

•Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in.

•There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption.

•To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering.

**And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.**

•The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-3:30 BUT our adoptions are done 7 days a week from 10:30am -3:00pm.

•The last potential adopter must arrive before 3:00 pm so we have time to properly help you before closing.
