Cooper & Carter’s Rescue Story: Wishing for a New Year’s Miracle
Carter and Cooper, a pair of inseparable senior dogs, found themselves in an unfortunate situation after their owner could no longer care for them. They ended up at a high-kill shelter in Quebec, where their time was running out. Though a rescue stepped in to save Cooper, a sweet cockapoo, they didn’t have space for his brother Carter.
When we heard the news, we knew we couldn’t let these two be separated. The bond they share is unbreakable—they are each other’s only family and sense of familiarity. Despite being at full capacity, we made the decision to welcome them both into our rescue so they could stay together. They’ve received all the medical care they need, and Cooper has now been neutered.
At around seven years old, Carter and Cooper are a gentle, low-energy duo who love all dogs and thrive on human companionship. They walk beautifully on a leash and are happiest when they’re together. Their loving temperaments make them ideal companions, and they would love nothing more than to snuggle up for a belly rub.
They are currently in a foster home with one of our amazing families who opened their heart and home to these boys! Carter and Cooper are the perfect pair, and they deserve a second chance at a loving home. Could you be the one to give them that chance?
Both dogs are now fully vetted, neutered, and ready to find their forever home. They will come with food supplies and Canada Pooch accessories to make their transition into your home as smooth as possible.
If you’re interested in adopting Carter and Cooper or would like to donate toward their care, please contact us for more information. You can also contribute to their medical bills by emailing us at cause4paws@outlook.com.
Let’s make their New Year’s wish come true and give these two sweet souls the home they deserve ❤️

We predominantly rescue dogs. Our animals are adopted directly from foster care in most cases. We do not have a shelter.
