My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Karina is a goofy, active, spunky Pit Bull/Hound mix who loves playing, cuddling, and anything water related! We pulled this sweet girl in August from our local high kill shelter after she was picked up as a stray by animal control. Having had no interest for an extended amount of days, Karina was set to be put on the euthanasia list shortly before we tagged her!

While Karina's history prior to going to the shelter is unknown, we do know that she is one of the friendliest pups out there! Most dogs/puppies are terrified for the first little while after getting out of the shelter environment, but Karina got right in the car and immediately started giving us kisses! She rides very well in the car and is very intrigued by the passing people and cars.

Karina is a very active dog who needs lots of mental and physical stimulation in order to keep her mind occupied and healthy. She would love to go to a home where she gets daily exercise like walks, hikes, playing in the yard, or swimming! Karina is a very adventurous puppy and as previously mentioned, she is obsessed with anything water related! She doesn't have access to any lakes, rivers, or streams here so she makes due with the outside water bowl. She likes to dunk her whole face in the bowl, start digging until it's basically empty, then start all over again once it gets refilled. Being the water-dog she is, we think Karina would love to go to a home with a pool or natural body of water nearby!

Karina is potty trained, crate trained, good on a leash, good with dogs and kids, and has a sweet temperament. She is a smart little cookie who will do so well with the right person! She would do best as the only dog in the household, but she can go to a home with another less dominant dog. Karina is currently about 50lbs and won't get
bigger.

Karina is located in Houston TX but can be transported to most US states for adoption.
