Tux is a playful and affectionate girl who absolutely loves being around kids and other dogs. With her sleek black coat and soulful eyes, she’s sure to steal your heart! Tux is a young Lab mix with lots of energy and love to give. She’s fully vetted, spayed, and up to date on her vaccinations. Found starving and crying for help alongside her sister on a back road in Houston, Tux has blossomed into a loyal companion ready to bring joy and warmth to her forever family.

Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Pep's Pals Rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc.).

Our adoption fee is $400 plus health certificate ($50), transport ($200 for most locations). This adoption fee includes all current basic vaccinations, deworming, microchip (with lifetime registration), fecal analysis, spay, and a heartworm test. All dogs are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a health certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of transport.

After an applicant has been screened, we conduct a home visit, vet reference check and personal reference checks. If the applicant is approved, we schedule a meet and greet.
