Lady’s story is one of love and courage. As a stray in Houston, she found a safe porch to deliver her puppies, doing everything she could to protect and care for them. Now that her little ones are finding their forever homes, it’s Lady’s turn to be cared for and cherished as she deserves.

Lady is a sweet, gentle girl with a heart full of love. She’s wonderful with children. She also gets along beautifully with other dogs, making her a great fit for a home with furry siblings or as a solo companion.

At 7 years old, Lady has the perfect mix of a calm and loving temperament, with plenty of life and love to give. She’s ready to leave her days of wandering behind and start the next chapter in a home where she’ll be adored.

Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Pep's Pals Rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc.).

Our adoption fee is $350 plus health certificate ($50) and transport ($200 for most locations). This adoption fee includes all current basic vaccinations, deworming, microchip (with lifetime registration), fecal analysis, spay, and a heartworm test. All dogs are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a health certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of transport.

After an applicant has been screened, we conduct a home visit, vet reference check and personal reference checks. If the applicant is approved, we schedule a meet and greet.

We carry on his legacy by loving and caring for the dogs & cats who need to know what it is like to be a part of a family. Pepper was kind to every human and fur friend he met.
