My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Penelope.

This playful, loving 8-9 month old beagle mix and is ready to find her forever home. Penelope is around 24 pounds and will be a medium sized dog when full grown. perhaps she has whippet mixed in with her with her long legs and lean body. She’s house trained, crate trained (although she only likes going in when no one will be home, and sleeps soundly in bed all night without any fuss. While she’s a rough player and very vocal, she’s great fun and would thrive in a home with younger dogs who can match her energy.

She’s a bit of a jumpy girl, and sometimes forgets to watch where she’s leaping, which can be a bit much for older dogs. But don’t worry, she’s learning and improving every day! She’s also eating dry food twice a day and finishing every meals.

This girl is content chewing on bones and has shown no possessiveness over them, although she will try to “borrow” bones from the other dogs (but she’s getting better at sharing!). She’s doing well on a leash, but needs a fenced-in yard where she can run and burn off all that puppy energy.

If you’re looking for a fun, active, and loving dog to add to your family Penelope is your girl!
