My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Mem was brought in by a community member on December 26, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Mem is a one-of-a-kind gal with a taste for the finer things in life-mainly your attention. Hot dogs? Meh. But a shower of affection? She'll give you her best "good girl" wiggle dance in return! This walking buddy extraordinaire adores strolls where she can sniff to her heart's content, especially if followed by some sweet "baby talk." And just wait until she gazes up at you with her heart-melting eyes-you'll be wrapped around her paw in no time. While Mem might not be a fan of the chaotic dog park scene, she's all about living her best life as the center of attention at home. A little pampering will make this charming girl's dreams come true. Think you've got what it takes to keep Mem's wiggles in full swing? Grab a leash and collar and come adopt her today!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
