Jelly is an affectionate and outgoing people-oriented kitty. She is a soft and silky classic tabby, which means that she has swirl patterning on each of her sides. Though she may not have the most athletic figure, she loves to play, hopping around after a wand toy or chasing a spring across the floor. Once she is tired, it's snuggle time! Jelly is a lucky girl. She was raised by a community of compassionate unhoused people who fed and cared for her, and eventually reached out to get her into a rescue that could help her find a safe and loving indoor home. You can currently find Jelly charming the pants off visitors to Tail Town, our partner cat cafe in Pasadena (https://www.tailtowncats.com). Jelly would do well as the only kitty in the home, or paired with an easygoing playful kitty who will let her be in charge. (She doesn't play hard, but she has some goofy and silly energy that doesn't always land right with older cats.) Could you possibly be this lovely lady's peanut butter? We adopt animals to homes in the Los Angeles area and neighboring counties.
Our cat adoption questionnaire https://kittenrescue.org/adopt/cat-adoption-form/ is first step of our adoption process, which also includes a home visit, the signing of an adoption contract, and payment of our adoption fee.
Adoption Fees
$150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, or $250 if you adopt a pair.
Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.
Our dog adoption fee depends on the dog breed and age.

Many of our kitties live in foster homes and can be visited at one of our four weekly adoption events or by arranging directly with the foster.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
