My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chandra: The Purring Queen Looking for Her Forever Castle!

Do you believe that love gets sweeter with age? Then you need to meet Chandra, our gorgeous girl who's ready to fill your home with endless purrs and devotion!

Her Royal Story
Once upon a time, this precious soul found herself in need of a new beginning. When we first met Chandra, she was a petite 4.4 lbs princess-in-waiting. Today, she's blossomed into a healthy 7 lbs queen who's mastered the art of living her best life!

Why Chandra Is Pure Magic
* She's a certified Purr Machine™ - seriously, this girl starts purring the moment she spots you! Even her meals are accompanied by a symphony of happy purrs
* Despite her royal status, she's incredibly low-maintenance with her medications - just mix them in with her food, and she's good to go
* She's fully vetted, microchipped, and ready to claim her throne in your heart
* As a dignified senior lady, she prefers to rule her kingdom as an only cat (more love for you!)

Health & Happiness
Like many distinguished cats of her age, Chandra has some manageable health conditions (hyperthyroidism and IBD) that are completely under control. Don't let this deter you - she's stable, thriving, and her medical routine is as simple as adding medication to her food. No wrestling matches or pill-hiding games required!

Her Perfect Palace Would Have:
* A quiet, peaceful atmosphere where she can be your one-and-only feline companion
* A loving human who appreciates the special charm of senior cats
* Comfortable spots for her to purr, snuggle, and shower you with affection
* A couch to watch football and binge your favorite series
* A commitment to maintaining her simple medical routine

Are you ready to give this sweet senior the happily-ever-after she deserves? Chandra isn't just looking for a home - she's looking for her heart's final destination. In return, she offers a lifetime of purrs, love, and gratitude.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
