--FOSTER PUPDATE-- Gum Drop A170892 48 lb. neutered male, approx 2 years old
- I’m a lower energy guy with a Curious Spirit. I’m super curious about the world and love taking my time to explore it (and I can get distracted by new sights and sounds).. I’m more of a “stop-and-smell-the-roses” kinda guy than a “race-you-to-the-finish-line” type. If you enjoy leisurely strolls, especially letting me stop from time to time as I choose to, I’m your perfect walking buddy! - House-Proofed and Learning Fast. No accidents in the house—score! Most recently I also cried to let my foster mom know I needed to go out, so I’m even learning to alert when I have to go! - I’m working on learning some basic commands and right now am practicing “leave it, “sit.” And “come.” I’m doing well with the first two and I’m ready to keep learning with you. - People Lover Extraordinaire. I thrive on companionship. I have met many people of all ages and love them all (and the feeling is always mutual of course!). If I am not cozied up in my favorite spot, I’ll follow you from room to room because I like to be close!. Getting pets and puppy massages are my favorite and I’ll happily melt into your arms for some love. - Low-Maintenance Play and Gentle Manners. I take treats very gently and enjoy them, but I’m not overly food-motivated. Toys are fun for a minute, but I am not rambunctious with them and I prefer sticks on walks! - I ride like a dream in the car—quiet and calm, whether snoozing or soaking in the views. - Adventure Potential and good with water! I went to the beach and loved the water (and did well getting a bath too)! I might just be your perfect adventure buddy. - Crate Tolerant. I cried for a few minutes being left in my crate, but settled quickly and slept until my foster mom returned - Figuring out my feelings about fur friends. I get very interested in and eager to meet fur friends. I did some parallel walking and beach time from a few feet apart with another doggo and was very excited at first and pulling to try to meet my new friend. I didn’t bark or growl, but foster mom thought I was a little too excited so we might have to try again later. Slow introductions and with a confident pal to help me learn would be necessary and help me learn social skills. - Calm and Mostly Quiet. Overall, I’m a lower-energy couch potato with amazing ears! I’m generally quiet—just a few barks here and there if I hear something unusual. - Training in Progress. A lot of things are new to me and I’m learning, but doing really great! A little patience is all I need to refocus and keep moving and improving! .
