We’re Mia and Novak—a sweet, snuggly, and slightly silly bonded pair looking for our forever home. Sadly, our beloved owner passed away, but her family made sure we’d be safe and loved by placing us with Healing Hearts Rescue. Now, we’re ready to start our next chapter—could it be with you?

I’m Mia—the 10-year-old, 10-pound queen of the house (or so I like to think). I’m a long-haired black-and-tan Chi who loves leash walks (I’ve even strutted 2.5 miles with my foster mom!), car rides, baths, and snuggle time. I’m a foodie at heart—so guard your snacks—and I have a soft spot for toys. My vision’s a little fuzzy, and I’ve got very mild Cushing’s disease, but no meds are needed. Don’t let my age fool you—I’ve got plenty of pep in my step and a lot of love to give.

Now it’s my turn—I’m Novak! I’m a 2-year-old, 17-pound Terrier-Chi mix, and I’m basically a built-in personal trainer. I’m fast, I love to run, and I’m always up for chasing squirrels or rabbits (though I haven’t caught one yet—don’t tell Mia). A fenced yard or dog park is my happy place. I’m a snuggle pro who loves to burrow under blankets, and my foster mom says I barely shed—bonus points, right? I’m working on perfecting my leash manners, but with all those smells, it’s hard to resist zig-zagging.

We’re both potty-trained (though we might need a refresher in a new place), crate-trained, and total cuddle bugs. We’ll bring you laughs, love, and endless snuggles—times two!

**Note on breed and age determination: 

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners.  Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we can’t be 100% sure of a dog’s age. Additionally, our assessments of a dog's interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.

ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:

• Wellness check
• Spay/neuter (puppies adopted with required spay/neuter certificate)
• Age appropriate vaccines - rabies and distemper combo 
• Heartworm test if over 7 months of age
• Fecal test and/or deworming for parasites
• Microchip ​

~ Healing Hearts rescue will also provide dental procedures, bloodwork, surgeries, and/or any other additional vet work as needed while dogs are in our care.
