Hi I’m Becca! I’m just a little shy at first but I warm up fast. They aren’t sure of my past but likely there’s a story to be told. I will cower if you reach out to pet me, but I do come to my people for pets and snuggles. I will kennel up but it’s not my favorite place to be. I do like to sit on your lap as we chill on the couch/chair. I’m working on my potty training and doing well with it. If you have just a little patience and a lot of love, I’d love to be your girl! SDRD is a state licensed 501(c)3 non-profit no kill dog rescue and group foster home located in Topeka, KS.

It is our goal to network with other local rescues and shelters to save dogs that are at risk for being euthanized due to lack of space.

We are committed to educating the public on responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying and neutering, along with the dangers of purchasing a dog from a pet store or puppy mill.
