Meet Anka – A Gentle Soul Ready for Love
Anka is a striking all-black beauty with a heart full of sweetness. At just about a year old, she’s been through more than most cats her age should endure. Anka was heartbreakingly evicted from a bodega, and after giving birth, her kittens were never found, leaving her mourning and longing for comfort.
Now safe and cared for, Anka’s true personality shines. She craves affection and will cry for attention, letting you know she’s ready to be your shadow and cuddle buddy. While she’s not a fan of other cats, she’s more than happy to pour all her love into her human companions.
Anka deserves a fresh start with a family who can give her the love and stability she’s been yearning for. Could you be the one to give this sweet girl the forever home she’s been waiting for?

We ask an adoption fee of $175 Which includes a general health exam, spay /neuter surgery, and microchip ID implant, Felv/FIV testing, age-appropriate vaccinations including rabies.

More about this rescue

Meowsquad is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization started in 2019. Our goal is to reduce the large stray and feral cat population of New York City by using Trap Neuter Return (TNR) techniques as well as working with the community to find forever homes for cats and kittens that can be resocialized. We also aim to relocate those who cannot be returned into safe, working environments.
