ESTELLA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!

Name:  Estella        Best Guess for Breed:  Hound and Terrier mix 

Best Guess for Age:  9 years as of July 2024       SEX:   Female

Approximate Weight:   56 lbs

Gets Along With:  Estella would prefer a home where she is the princess of the castle without any other dogs to share in her family’s attention.

She may allow a cat to share her castle, but it needs to be a wise one. Estella currently lives with a cat, and has lived with cats before; if she does chase a cat it’s only to play! Her feline companion would need to be savvy to canine ways. We are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!

All about Estella:

Princess Estella graced Lucky Dog with her presence in 2020 and quickly found a family to care for her. For the past four years she has been in a loving home. Though she did nothing wrong, her family’s situation changed so she is looking for a new family, and a new chapter in her story!

She loves to hold court in her home, and will even retire to the royal bedroom (crate) if she must! She is happiest when she can lavish affection on her family, it warms her heart to love and be loved. She feels protective of her family and will do all she can to keep them safe; sometime she gets confused and confronts invited guests, so her foster is helping her learn how to be a more welcoming host.

She revels in her romps outside; although she is a “mature” princess you would never guess it from her sprightly pace and joy in touring the countryside. She takes kindly to the leash and enjoys a (possibly undignified) roll in the grass! She likes to be undisturbed in her adventures, so doesn’t always take kindly to fellow canine travelers; she looks forward to finding a family that can help make those encounters more positive!
