My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

All AHHS animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate).
Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions.

Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!

Name: Noah Age: 1 year Breed: Terrier mix Weight: 7 pounds Hobbies: looking at himself in the mirror, collecting bowties, stealing hearts, charming all the ladies Likes/Dislikes: Noah loves human companionship, but is often frightened by loud, sudden movements. He would do best in a home with no small children as their activity level may just be too overwhelming for such a mellow fellow. Noah enjoys having ALL the attention ALL the time. He is only a year old, so, naturally, he is rather energetic. Despite his small size, he will require a family capable of exercising him as needed. We think he'd be content with a few walks a day or a fenced yard area to get the zoomies out. He's indifferent about other animals and would thrive in a home with or without other furry companions! To meet this handsome prince for yourself, apply online at ahhumanesociety.org or email Halee@ahhumanesociety.org with questions!

More about this rescue

The Appalachian Highlands Humane Society is a private non-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization dedicated to the welfare of all animals. We do not receive public or government funding, and no monies from national humane organizations or county, state or federal government funds. Our work depends solely on grants, fundraisers, adoptions, private funding, memberships and donations. The fees collected from the adoption of each animal help to offset some of the costs involved in providing care for the animals and preparing an animal for placement into a new home. We value every animal equally and consider all to be priceless
