My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐱 **Georgie: Looking for a Second Chance**

Georgie was adopted from BAS as a kitten and had a loving home until, sadly, her owner passed away. There was no one to take her in, so she found herself back with us here at BAS.

**About This Love Bug:**
- A gentle girl with endless affection to give
- Already knows how to be the perfect companion
- Doesn’t seem bothered by other cats
- Potential dog friend (with proper introductions)

**What Makes Georgie Special:**
- Experienced in giving and receiving love
- Perfect adult age - young enough to play, mature enough to appreciate quiet moments
- Plus-sized package of pure devotion
- Ready to heal and love again

Sometimes life takes unexpected turns, but Georgie's capacity for love remains unchanged. This girl knows exactly how to turn a house into a home with her wonderful personality.

Their adoption process

1.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

Always best to first visit the Shelter without your pet. This will allow you to see if the dog or cat is what you appreciate in a pet.

2.

Meet the Pet

Take the dog for a walk or visit the cat area and play with the cat / kitten.

3.

Sign Adoption Contract

A meet and greet is required if you own another dog at home. This provides a safe environment for all concerned. No cat meet & greets.

Additional adoption info

A $100 fee is required if the dog or cat has not been spayed or neutered at the time of adoption. This fee is refundable once the animal has surgery, and proof is submitted of the spay / neuter. The adoption fee will provide the required veterinarian services.

Go meet their pets

Brownstown Animal Shelter is located at 23700 Lillian Dr. in Brownstown Township. 734-675-4008
We have a Shot Clinic on the last Saturday in April every year, that allows the public to get their animals vaccines at a reasonable price without paying an office visit.

More about this shelter

Brownstown is an Animal Shelter based in Brownstown Township. We spay and neuter every pet, and provide more than the required shots via Southgate Animal Hospital. We want a good fit for the Adopter and the animal, so we ask questions regarding your current situation of pets and family. We conduct meet and greets to make sure the dogs live peacefully together. Information is key to a good adoption, and we try to provide everything you'll need to be a successful pet owner!
