My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐱 **Tulip: Waiting for Her Chance to Bloom**

Like her namesake, this precious girl opens her petals slowly, but the wait is worth every moment. While Tulip may start shy, she's already showing her sweet nature through gentle pets and quiet moments of trust.

**About This Special Flower:**
- A tender soul who accepts gentle affection
- Blossoms slowly with patient care
- Shows beautiful potential with each small step
- Could grow alongside other pets with careful introductions

**Her Perfect Garden Would Have:**
- A peaceful, quiet space to flourish
- Understanding humans who appreciate shy cats
- Time to unfold at her own pace
- Gentle souls who celebrate small victories

Some of life's most beautiful relationships start with a whisper rather than a shout. Behind Tulip's timid exterior lies a loving companion waiting for someone to nurture her growth.

Their adoption process

1.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

Always best to first visit the Shelter without your pet. This will allow you to see if the dog or cat is what you appreciate in a pet.

2.

Meet the Pet

Take the dog for a walk or visit the cat area and play with the cat / kitten.

3.

Sign Adoption Contract

A meet and greet is required if you own another dog at home. This provides a safe environment for all concerned. No cat meet & greets.

Additional adoption info

A $100 fee is required if the dog or cat has not been spayed or neutered at the time of adoption. This fee is refundable once the animal has surgery, and proof is submitted of the spay / neuter. The adoption fee will provide the required veterinarian services.

Go meet their pets

Brownstown Animal Shelter is located at 23700 Lillian Dr. in Brownstown Township. 734-675-4008
We have a Shot Clinic on the last Saturday in April every year, that allows the public to get their animals vaccines at a reasonable price without paying an office visit.

More about this shelter

Brownstown is an Animal Shelter based in Brownstown Township. We spay and neuter every pet, and provide more than the required shots via Southgate Animal Hospital. We want a good fit for the Adopter and the animal, so we ask questions regarding your current situation of pets and family. We conduct meet and greets to make sure the dogs live peacefully together. Information is key to a good adoption, and we try to provide everything you'll need to be a successful pet owner!
