Well hello there! My name is Kingly and I am a laid-back mature dog who loves everyone I meet. I am all about enjoying life at my own pace -- whether it's lounging on the couch or getting in a good walk. And I am always ready for a good game of chase with my favorite squeaky toy. Now I just need a buddy to throw it to me! I love being close to people, especially when it involves head or butt scratches (my favorites). And I am at a really nice age -- I am way past the puppy stage but still active enough to join you on outdoor adventures. So if you are looking for a loyal, snuggly companion with a gentle soul, I'm your guy!

Operating the Vola Lawson Animal Shelter, an open-admission facility and Alexandria’s only animal shelter, the League provides care for more than 3,500 animals every year, including strays, lost pets, local wildlife, rescue animals, and pets surrendered by their owners. Serving the community since 1946, the League has contracted with the City of Alexandria to provide animal care, control, and sheltering services since 1989.
