A24561 Lola is a black, brown and white colored, approximately 10-month-old, 61-pound, spayed female, Pitbull mix.
She entered the shelter an owner surrender on 12-28-2024 due to the fact she was aggressively resource guarding her food and toys.
Lola is a friendly, timid, easy to handle girl here in the shelter. Our staff describes her as friendly and a little scared right now. She is trying to figure out this loud shelter environment. She was easy to leash but pulls hard on the leash and will need some leash training. She will need some additional training as she did not respond to any commands. In addition, she jumps up for love and attention on people when you first approach her. She seemed scared and nervous around the other dogs. Due to that fact and her resource guarding that the previous owner mentioned, we would recommend she be the only dog in the home. The previous owner said she is house broken and has lived with other dogs and children, but no cats. Lola will be a loving companion to any family in her new forever home.

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
