Meet Wilbur, the friendly guinea pig. This young man is a happy little character who enjoys munching on brussel sprouts.

If you are looking for a small pet to round out your family, then Wilbur might be your guy! He has a good history with children, so he checks that box. However, be sure not to fall into the trap of getting a small pet for the kids because they're thought to be "easier" than cats or dogs. Guinea pigs still need attention, exercise, enrichment, and plenty of cleaning, just like any other pet.

Most guinea pigs prefer having the company of another guinea pig. This guy however has been flying solo for most of his life. He may prefer being an only child, but if you're looking for a companion for another male guinea pig at home, just be prepared to do very slow introductions.
