(DOB 10/29/2022) About Rori: She is a bundle of joy and energy who will bring excitement and companionship to your life! This playful 2-year-old German Shepherd mix adores being around people and is always up for a new adventure. She loves walks and knows basic commands, making her a great partner for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle.
At home, Rori is crate-trained and can stay in her crate while you’re at work. However, when you’re around, she prefers not to be left alone. When someone is home, she doesn’t like being by herself in the crate and will be sure to tell you all about it. Rori thrives on companionship. Even though she is a high-energy dog, she loves lounging on a cozy bed or couch and will happily nap or chew on a toy bone, as long as her favorite human is nearby.
What Rori Loves: *Walks and outdoor adventures *Spending time with her human *Meeting new people (she’s still learning not to jump in excitement!) *Playing with toys (with supervision) *Snuggling up for naps
Great Traits: *Friendly with people *Knows basic commands *Good with cats *Crate-trained
What Rori is Working On: Rori is an enthusiastic and spirited girl who brings a lot of energy into everything she does! She’s highly social and gets excited when she spots other dogs, barking with enthusiasm and pulling toward them to say hello. While this eagerness might be overwhelming to some dogs, she is still learning how to keep calm and composed around them. For now, Rori would thrive best in a home as the only dog or with a calm, non-reactive dog who enjoys playful interactions. When out on walks, Rori’s curiosity can take the lead—she’s still refining her leash manners, especially when she spots deer, cats, or squirrels. She’ll benefit from a strong, experienced handler who can help her stay focused during walks and teach her to enjoy the sights and sounds at a calmer pace.
Rori absolutely loves meeting new people and can’t wait to greet them! Her excitement is contagious, though she’s still working on managing her enthusiasm, which can lead to a jump or two—especially around small children. With a little guidance, she’ll learn to channel her joy more gently, so only older children in the home. Rori has a fun-loving spirit and is a big fan of toys and objects, so she may be tempted to chew & swallon things she shouldn’t. With supervision and some gentle redirection, Rori will learn the boundaries and can focus her play on her approved toys.
As an active, high-energy girl, Rori is a high jumper and enjoys exploring her surroundings. A securely fenced yard (at least 6 feet) is essential to keep her safe and secure during her outdoor playtime. Because of her adventurous nature, she’s also been known to scale a tall pen, so she’ll feel more comfortable and relaxed in a crate if left alone.
The Perfect Home for Rori: Rori is looking for a home where she can be the center of attention or live with a calm dog companion. Her ideal adopter is someone who understands her high-energy personality, can provide consistent training, and will include her in their daily life. A household where someone is often home would be perfect, as Rori loves having company.
Why You’ll Love Rori: Rori’s joy is contagious! She’s a loving, happy-go-lucky pup who will fill your home with laughter and affection. Her loyalty and enthusiasm for life make her a wonderful companion for someone ready to give her the love and guidance she needs.
