My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Dragonfly! I am a happy little bug that loves zooming around playing with my sister(s), my littermate and my human foster sister. My unique markings has created quite a buzz!

My momma is a small Boston Terrier mix but daddy was a bigger boy, like maybe a terrier or something? I'm not really sure because I never met my dad. I'm 12 weeks old and at 12+ pounds, already half the size of my momma! I probably will be 50 pounds or so when I'm all grown up.

I am working on crate and house training. I'm doing pretty good for just being a baby.

I love naps, playing with toys, treats and cuddling in people's laps.

I'm a busy, bug looking for a forever place to land. If you are looking for a cuddle bug, Buzz on over and fill out an adoption application with Adopt A Pit before you miss out on my Beautiful face!

All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home.

We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application.

We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information.

We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.

Submit Application

Apply online at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply

Approve Application

We perform vet and landlord checks if necessary and will contact you if your application is approved.

3.
Meet the Pet

If approved, a volunteer will bring the dog to your home for a meet & greet and home check.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If the adoption representative and you agree the dog is a good fit for your family, you will complete the adoption contract and pay the fee.

As a network of foster homes, we do not have a "shelter location". We do hold meet and greet events each month at various locations where you can meet our precious pitties. Otherwise, meet and greets are only available with an approved application and home visit.
