Paige is a 1 ½ year old lovely tabby kitty looking for her forever home!
She is a super-sweet girl who adores humans and wants to be around them all the time. She is very social and loves snuggling and sleeping with her humans at night. She prefers the doors in her house to stay open so she can follow her humans around room-to-room, basking in all of the companionship she can find. Sweet Paige is friendly towards newcomers and wants all the love.
This pretty stripey lady loves to play with toys but is also totally okay entertaining herself and chasing toys on her own. She’s pretty chill and is very content having occasional zoomies and making up her own games. Otherwise, she loves napping near or on her humans. She will thrive in a place with humans who work from home or are around a lot to keep her company.
Her ideal home is ideally one with no other pets, so that she can bask in all the love her humans have to offer. (She might possibly be open to a home with other chill animals (she has met other cats) if they give her plenty of space; however, she doesn’t have much desire to interact with or play with them.) Paige has not met any dogs or children yet. --- If you’d like a mellow, very affectionate girl who is ready to soak up all the love you have to offer, why not turn a new ""Paige"" and invite this pretty lady into your family?
There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimate. Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated.
Cats are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
