My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chestnut is a handsome tuxedo brown and white ticked-tabby male with deep red markings behind his ears and beautiful grey eyes. He and his mom and two siblings were abandoned at a local Starbucks before Christmas but are now enjoying the perks of being indoor cats. After his very scary start to life, Chestnut can understandably be a little shy at first, but with gentle persuasion, a fist full of his favorite crunchy treats and an enticing toy, he quickly forgets his fears and jumps into action showing you the confident, playful and loving kitten he truly is. Chestnut is quite chatty and will let you know when it’s time for food, love or play. His favorite places to nap are curled up with his siblings on the window perch or lying on cozy blankets inside his cat crate, where he loves to receive tummy rubs and gentle pets. Chestnut loves to join in with the older resident cats in play, but he has healthy boundaries and will let them know when enough is enough!

Because Chestnut is young and is still gaining confidence, he would do well in a quiet household with consistent routines and children of any age who respect his boundaries. His ideal adopter would be someone who can provide a kitten safe space and patiently devote time to playing with him and gaining his trust so he blossoms into the amazing, confident kitty he is destined to be! He would love to be adopted with his sister, Gingerbread . If not adopted with one of his siblings, Chestnut would do well with another kitten or a playful, resident cat. Dogs are untested. The goal of our adoption process is to place the right cat(s) with the right person. These are the steps:

Pick out a cat or think about the qualities you want in a cat.

Complete our adoption questionnaire.

Meet the cat over a video call with the foster parent or in person to see if the cat is a good fit for your household.

Meet with an adoption counselor over a video call for a virtual home visit to go over a safety checklist.

We will bring the cat to your home to complete the adoption.
