Gina and another bunny were bought together because their previous owner wanted them to have babies so he could sell them. Little did the owner know he had two females (thank goodness). After a year with no babies, the two girls were left on the side of the road in a box and rescued by a kind stranger. Gina and her sister were not given the best start in life. The girls went their separate ways, and Gina eventually found the love of her life in sweetheart Harvey. Unfortunately, Gina's rough start didn't end there.
Their owner took them to South Florida and shortly thereafter started fosterig bunnies from another rescue. We ultimately learned that one of the bunnies being fostered either died or went missing. Their owner was acting suspiciously, ane we knew we needed to get our bunnies back. The owner abandoned all of the remainimg animals in the house and moved away. Through the help of the local sheriff's department and a local rescue, we were able to get Harvey and Gina back into our care.
Gina loves pets and will pancake when she sees you coming. She is enthusiastic about her greens and will jump up when the pellets are on their way. Fresh hay is her favorite meal and snack. Gina is looking for a forever home where she can relax and take care of her husbun for years to come.
We adopt to indoor homes only! If you are interested in adopting a bunny from Orlando Rabbit Care and Adoptions, or would like more information on rabbit care, please visit our website at: http://www.orlandorabbit.org. The first step in our adoption process is to complete an adoption application, which can be found here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/55856/generic . Then one of our volunteers will reach out to you via email to schedule a time to speak with you. If you don’t see the email in a day or two, please check your spam folder!
Our Adoption Fee/Donation for a single rabbit is $100, a pair is $170, and a triple is $200. This helps to offset the cost of having the rabbits altered, microchipped and vaccinated, as well as any medical care that may have been required.
