Hi there! I’m Elphie — your future best friend and cuddle buddy extraordinaire! I am great with other dogs, cats and kids. Since I am still young I am working on my house training, crate training and how to walk well on a leash. I am a super cuddly, loving, and exuberant pup who loves to be right next to you (or on your lap, if I'm lucky) while you relax on the couch. You see, I'm a true snuggle enthusiast — I live for it! I’m named after Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, but trust me, I’m all about the good vibes and the goodest girl you’ll ever meet! When I’m not curled up on the couch with you, you’ll find me out in the backyard, bouncing around with a squeaky ball or a squeaky stuffed toy in my mouth. Oh, how I love the squeak! It’s like music to my ears. And speaking of ears... when I run, they defy gravity with some serious acrobatics. I’ve got a ton of puppy energy — I pounce like a courageous lion on every toy I see. I’m all about exploring, playing, and most importantly, being right by your side. I’m happiest when I’m playing outside or snuggling up with you for some quality bonding time. And did I mention treats? Soft treats, to be specific. They’re my absolute favorite. Life’s just better with treats and snuggles, and I’m here to make sure you get both. Our fees depend on age of pet but include all relevant shots, vetting, micro-chip and spay/neuter unless a vet recommends not doing.

We do require a contract, home and vet check. All animals currently in your home must also be spayed/neutered unless a vet recommends otherwise.

Cause for Canines is a 501(c)(3)volunteer based all-breed dog rescue founded in Central Ohio.

We are committed to the rescue of homeless dogs, dogs given up by their owners due to difficult circumstances or those in danger of abuse or neglect, and dogs in shelters that are at risk of euthanasia.

Our mission is to find safe, loving, committed and permanent homes for the dogs we take into rescue.
