Here's what the humans have to say about me:
JT is a playful 1-year-old kitty looking for his forever home!
This handsome tuxedo boy is a little shadow, very chatty especially when it's time for food, and loves getting pets. He's not much of a lap cat but loves to be close by.
This young guy is a high-energy cat who loves to run around and play with various toys. He'll occupy himself with catnip toys or run after them when thrown, chase around wand toys, and will carry them around too.
He currently lives with one human in a townhouse and remains separated from the two 6-year-old resident cats as they're still uncertain about him.
JT is a bit needy for human attention, and will display some attention-seeking behaviors, even with a foster that works from home. We believe he will learn to bond less anxiously if he has a cat buddy of a similar age to keep him company. This feline friend (whether another Pet Haven kitten or an active young resident cat at his forever home) should be confident and able to handle JT's more rough-and-tumble, kitten-wrestling play style.
He'd also likely benefit from a forever family where people work from home or are around a lot, so he can also have a good amount of human attention. Room to run, space to climb, and windows to monitor would be great as well. This adorable boy is fun, energetic, and gets along great with cats and kids (hasn’t met a dog yet).
He couldn’t be cuter and is always ready for a formal occasion. If you’d like to add the perfect guest to your upcoming celebrations, please consider adding JT (and maybe a Pet Haven friend for him?) to your family.
Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat? Please fill out Pet Haven’s adoption application: http://bit.ly/2fd9U2Fpethavenmnwww..org/adopt.
All ages and breeds are a best estimate. Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.
All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow-up visits.

Pet Haven is a foster-based rescue. Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

How We Help

Phoenix Fund for Special Needs: Providing veterinary care for animals in need of healing
What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
