Meet Scooby, a 7 month old 55lb Black Mouth Cur who has had a rough start to life but still has so much love to give. This sweet, affectionate boy was heartlessly thrown out of a car window in North Carolina, but thankfully, a compassionate college student witnessed the terrible act and immediately took Scooby in. He spent a month being cared for in her home, receiving the love and safety he so desperately needed. However, when his rescuer returned to New Jersey for winter break, their family’s resident dogs did not get along with Scooby, and he was relegated to spending most of his time in a separate room upstairs. Scooby’s heart deserves more—he deserves a home where he can roam freely and be part of the family.
Despite everything he’s been through, Scooby is a gentle soul with a heart full of affection. He loves to give sweet hugs and is especially close with his foster mom. He’s good with cats and gets along with most dogs, though some dogs have shown to react to him. He’s not yet neutered but is up to date on all his vaccinations. While Scooby has not been around young children, his calm demeanor suggests he could adapt well in the right environment and appropriate introductions.
Scooby just needs a chance to finally feel at home. He’s a sweet, resilient dog who’s looking for a family to love and cherish him the way he deserves. If you’re looking for a companion who will offer you unconditional love and affection, Scooby is waiting for you. Please consider giving this deserving boy the forever home he has always dreamed of.
