My family and I are looking to rehome our 4 year old toy poodle(8Lb) Daisy. She is blind due to past owner mistreatment. Both her eyes were removed at the shelter. Despite this, she is very good at navigating her environment.
She is very sweet and is house trained but she needs to go out every 4-6 hours. She is a lap dog as she loves to be held and pet all day. She enjoying social gatherings because she gets all the attention and love from everyone. She does know how to sit on command and laying down is a work in progress.
Since she is blind she is does not do well around other dogs especially big dogs. She tends to hide behind us. As for small dogs, the same thing , but tends to warm up after a couple visits. She did fine around our toddler but does not enjoy kids. She tends to bark a lot in the home when she hears doorbells or someone knocking because she is scared. She mainly like only adults who are willing to hold her and give her all the love she needs.
