Meet Harriet: The Petite Tuxedo Cuddle Bug!

Introducing Harriet, a young female tuxedo cat with stunning markings and a personality as delightful as her looks. She’s the cutest little cuddle bug you’ll ever meet! While she may take a moment to get comfortable, once she does, she’s all in—ready to snuggle and play to her heart’s content.

Harriet adores roughhousing with her foster buddies Franklin, Lamb Chop, and Mistletoe Mike, so she’d thrive in a home with another playful cat to keep her company. She has an adventurous spirit, a gentle heart, and a knack for spreading joy wherever she goes.

Fun fact: In ancient Egypt, tuxedo cats like Harriet were thought to bring positive energy to households—so adopting her might just be the luckiest decision you ever make!

Harriet is spayed, litter box trained, and up-to-date on her vaccinations. If you’re looking for a feline friend who will bring love, laughter, and a little bit of ancient magic into your home, she’s the one for you!

Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.

Animal House of South East Michigan is a 501 (c)3 no-kill animal rescue organization. We work primarily with cats and dogs through adoption, owner assistance and community education. We are a non-profit rescue that is run entirely by volunteers. We work in partnership with our local PetSmart, located on Woodward Avenue in Royal Oak, MI.
