Tucker is a young gray male cat with a playful and curious nature that keeps life interesting! Known affectionately as "the shy menace," Tucker is always on the move, investigating every bag, box, nook, and cranny he can find. His climbing skills are top-notch, and he’s happiest when perched up high, surveying his domain.
Though he’s not one to demand constant attention, Tucker secretly enjoys an occasional belly rub when the mood strikes.
Tucker thrives in the company of other cats, and we think he’d do best in a home with another kitten or young feline friend to keep him entertained and help build his confidence. While he takes a little time to warm up, his gentle nature shines through once he feels secure.
Tucker hasn’t been around dogs yet, so his feelings about canine companions are unknown.
Tucker is neutered, litter box trained, and up-to-date on his vaccinations. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a curious, spirited kitty who will bring endless charm and a hint of mystery to your life, Tucker is ready to meet you!
Tucker is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
