My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bernie, a fun-loving, energetic 1-year-old mixed breed who’s always up for playtime and eager to be by your side. He’s fully housebroken and crate-trained, with no accidents at all since joining his foster home! Bernie gets along wonderfully with other dogs, always ready to play or enjoy outdoor adventures. While his interactions with kids and cats are unknown (his foster home doesn’t have either), his sweet and easygoing nature suggests he’d likely win them over too.

Bernie also graduated from the STAR - Save Train And Rehabilitate in Oklahoma, where he lived with a special inmate handler who worked with him on basic obedience and tricks!

A few of Bernie’s favorite things:
• Playing with other dogs
• Running outside
• Mealtime (he’s always excited to eat!)
• Pulling all the toys out of the toy box

If you’re looking for a playful, goofy, and loving companion, Bernie just might be your perfect match!

More about this rescue

We help animals who are in need by placing them in a loving foster home, providing medical care, and finding the perfect home for that animal to live in for the rest of its life. Tails of Hope takes mainly dogs, but has occasionally helped other animals in need. We take animals in through shelters and other rescue organizations, as strays, or as owner surrenders from people in our local communities.
