Available for adoption in New England and The Midwest: JJ!
If you're looking for a spunky, loving companion, look no further than JJ! This adorable 1 to 2-year-old pup is full of energy, charm, and affection. Weighing in at 50-55 pounds, JJ is a healthy, happy boy who's ready to find his forever home.
JJ was recently rescued from a rural shelter in Indiana, where he spent about a month waiting for his second chance. Since being placed in his foster home, JJ has been thriving! He's fully house-trained, crate-trained, and knows his leash manners—he even comes when called by name! JJ is a smart boy and is quickly adjusting to the comforts of home life. He has not been tested with cats.
JJ has shown some signs of being cautious around other male dogs, but he gets along great with female dogs, including his foster sister. He's also fantastic with kids, even the loud, crazy ones! While he may still be adjusting to some of the louder household noises, we're confident he's going to continue growing more comfortable in a home setting as he gets used to his new life.
This little charmer is ready to snuggle up and show his new family just how sweet he can be. He’s a loving, loyal dog who’s sure to make a wonderful addition to any home.
JJ is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives, and microchipped.
If you're ready for a spunky, lovable companion who's great with kids and other dogs (especially females), JJ might just be your perfect match. Apply to adopt JJ today at www.luckylabrescue.com!

More about this rescue
Lucky Lab Rescue and Adoption is an all-volunteer, non-profit (currently filing for 501(c)(3) status) rescue organization whose mission is to reduce the euthanasia rates and inhumane treatment of Labrador Retrievers in the Midwest and find loving forever homes for them.
Most labs that come into Lucky Lab Rescue are from shelters here in the Midwest. Most are at risk of euthanasia, usually due to overcrowded shelters. Labs are one of the most popular breeds of dogs due to their loyal and family oriented personalities. Labs are also one of the most overbred breeds and are the number one breed to be found in shelters. They also have one of the highest euthanasia rates. Some find it difficult that rescues can be breed specific, however, Lucky Lab Rescue and other lab rescues make a huge impact on euthanasia rates just by rescuing labs and lab mixes alone.
