Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Grumplestiltskin but most just call be Grumpy. I came to stray haven in May of 2024 and I was in pretty rough shape. I was thin and covered in wounds. I had started to just give up, but the staff was determined to bring me back to health. After I started feeling better, I made the staff aware that I didn't really like people all that much, so they suspect that people may not have been kind to me in the past. Over the last several months the staff has worked with me daily to try and build trust. I went from hissing and growling every time someone walked by my cage to playing with toys, taking treats and even purring. I Can even be pet and scratched now! I just don't like being picked up. I need a quiet home where attention is my choice. Stray Haven Humane Society & SPCA 194 Shepard Rd., Waverly, NY 14892 (607) 565-2859, www.strayhavenspca.org Open hours: Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pm Saturday-Sunday 10am-4pm Closed on Mondays
