Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Zen is a sweet, tubby male neutered miniature poodle mix born around November 6, 2018. He came to us from a heartbreaking hoarding and neglect situation, where he was rescued along with 70 other dogs. Despite his past, Zen is ready to leave the shelter behind and find his forever home!
Zen has been fully vetted, neutered, and even had a dental procedure, so his teeth are now sparkling clean! He’s feeling much better and is eager to start a new chapter in a loving home.
As with many dogs rescued from difficult circumstances, Zen will need some time to adjust and thrive. He’s working hard on his potty training and making great progress. Zen is a food lover, so his new family will need to help him stay active and monitor his weight to keep him healthy.
Zen would be happiest in a home with other dogs his size and older children who can respect his space. With patience, training, and lots of love, Zen will blossom into a loyal and loving companion.
If you’re ready to provide Zen with the care and attention he deserves, please apply today at eastshoreha.org. Once your application is processed, our staff will reach out to schedule a personal meet-and-greet with Zen.

Additional adoption info
Before You Adopt: Please consider these factors before filling out an application:
1. Animals are expensive to care for. They require food, shelter, toys, grooming, and veterinary health and dental care.
2. Animals require attention. You have to clean up after their messes, protect them from anything that might harm them, and make sure they get adequate play time and exercise. Some require training, which takes patience, love, and commitment.
Adopting a Friend: Adopter will fill out an application to start the adoption process. We don't adopt on a first come, first served basis, but instead adopt based on what we feel is in the animal's best interest. We DO NOT ship animals.
Adoption Requirements:
1. Have verifiable identification
2. Be at least 18 years of age
3. If renting, have landlords consent to bring a pet to your home
4. All adopted pets must be spayed or neutered
5. All pets must leave the shelter on a collar and leash, or in a pet carrier
6. Agree to all terms of the adoption contract; ESHA reserves the right to deny any application
