Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Scraggly is ready to find his loving forever home! Born on March 6, 2024, Scraggly came to us after being rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding and neglect situation, along with 69 other dogs. Now neutered, fully vetted, and on his way to a brighter future, Scraggly is ready to enjoy life in a home where he can feel safe and loved.
Scraggly is still adjusting to life as a dog and will need a patient, understanding home that can help him learn the ropes. He will require training and time to adapt, but he’s making great progress. Scraggly is working on his potty training and doing well, but consistency and patience will be key as he continues to grow.
Scraggly would thrive in a home with other dogs his size and other pets. We recommend a family with older children or children who understand how to gently interact with him, as Scraggly has not been exposed to small children.
If you’re looking for a sweet dog who just needs a little extra time and care to flourish, Scraggly might be the perfect match for you! Apply today on our website at eastshoreha.org. Once your application is processed and approved, our staff will contact you to schedule a personal meet-and-greet with Scraggly.
Don’t wait—give Scraggly the fresh start he deserves and apply today!

Additional adoption info
Before You Adopt: Please consider these factors before filling out an application:
1. Animals are expensive to care for. They require food, shelter, toys, grooming, and veterinary health and dental care.
2. Animals require attention. You have to clean up after their messes, protect them from anything that might harm them, and make sure they get adequate play time and exercise. Some require training, which takes patience, love, and commitment.
Adopting a Friend: Adopter will fill out an application to start the adoption process. We don't adopt on a first come, first served basis, but instead adopt based on what we feel is in the animal's best interest. We DO NOT ship animals.
Adoption Requirements:
1. Have verifiable identification
2. Be at least 18 years of age
3. If renting, have landlords consent to bring a pet to your home
4. All adopted pets must be spayed or neutered
5. All pets must leave the shelter on a collar and leash, or in a pet carrier
6. Agree to all terms of the adoption contract; ESHA reserves the right to deny any application
