My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

FIV+

DOB: 12/11/2023

Jerry is a 1-year-old tabby and white cat with a heart of gold and a knack for being, well... a little clueless but totally endearing. He’s the kind of cat who might overthink the best way to chase a toy mouse but will always circle back to you for comfort when his “plans” go awry.

Jerry’s goofy charm makes him the perfect companion if you love a cat who’s as earnest as he is lovable. He tries his best at everything—whether it’s pouncing on a string, finding the comfiest nap spot, or winning your heart. He can be a little unsure of himself at times, but all he really wants is your approval and a little love.

Looking for a cat who’s equal parts sweet, silly, and just a little awkward? Jerry’s your guy! He’s ready to bring his quirky personality into a forever home where he can finally shine.

Come meet me at the cage free Adoption Center! All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html  to expedite the process. Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.

Feline Immunodeficiency Virus positive cats can live normal lives both in quality and duration. They do take special care in terms of monitoring them for signs of infection.  FIV can be passed from cat to cat via deep bite wounds, but not from casual contact so positive cats can live with negative cats without the fear of spreading FIV as long as they get along and are spayed/neutered.
