Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We really want to highlight this large, goofy and friendly boy to large breed lovers because Crunchy is not even a year old and is already at 70 pounds. Large breed dogs do tend to sit in the shelter longer then the medium to small breeds but we are confident that there is someone looking for a large breed to add to their home! Crunchy is at a great age to continue training and we are already seeing him learn so much in the shelter! Crunchy has learned some leash walking skills with the help of positive reinforcement and toys. He is also doing better in his kennel which leads us to believe that he will do much better with potty training in a home. Crunchy does know the cue “sit” and is getting the hand of “down”. We do not know if Crunchy has lived with children or other dogs. We do know that he seems to love everyone and is always ecstatic to meet new people! We encourage adopters to bring their children with them when they come to meet him but please know he may be too much energy for some small children. Crunchy has been very friendly towards the other dogs in the shelter and seems to want to play. We do suspect that he will be a rambunctious player because so far, that has been his personality! Crunchy would enjoy a friend in his new home and we can always provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if needed. A tolerable friend that matches his energy may be the best fit! Crunchy will nee a home that is able to provide him with a positive outlet for his energy and regular stimulation. He is goofy but eager to please and wants nothing more than to make his people happy! He loves attention and his favorite thing is to be praised and told that he is such a good boy. If you feel that your home would be a good fit for Crunchy we encourage you to come by and meet him!
