My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sky, a handsome boy with a big personality who’s as independent as he is sassy. With his striking, lion-like presence and gorgeous eyes, he’s sure to steal your heart. Sky loves his wet food and snacks, and you’ll often find him hanging out on the kitchen countertop, waiting for a treat. He enjoys affection, though on his own terms, and is the perfect companion for someone who prefers a cat that’s not overly needy. Sky is friendly, playful, curious, and sensitive—always around, but still respecting your personal space. Sky is bonded to his mother, May KRLA-A-8646. One last thing about Sky—his vibrant personality will fill any home with energy and joy.

Background on Sky & May: they were adopted out. After 10 months, the adopter claimed that May is still shy and thus she doesn’t want her anymore. When I was disheartened by their living conditions and how they were treated in front of me. I decided to take them both with me and I am so l glad I did as there is more to the story. Needless to say, they endured a year of being in a not very loving home and I’d like their next home to be loving, patient, and awesome.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
