My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Blade
Age: 4 months
Breed (as listed on paperwork): Terrier X
Gender: Male
Weight: 20 lbs
Altered: Yes
Crate Trained: I like to go in my crate at night as long as I know you’re there too. I’ll go in while you’re busy or at work but cry for a little bit as I’m learning to be alone and more independent.
Housebroke: I’m doing really well. Once I find my spot outside I will go there when you take me out. I’m young and get distracted playing so sometimes I forget to tell you I need to go out, but that’s only a small percentage of the time.
Good with kids: Yes
Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: yes
Foster location: Menomonie, WI
Fee: $250 (with a seperate $100 deposit check that is shredded with proof of completetion of spay/neuter) includes monthly preventatives, deworming, age appropriate heartworm testing (or treatment) age appropriate vaccinations at the time of adoption, microchip and health certificate. Please apply for me at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HFAH/Dog (403644-DS) Due to the amount of no shows we are now requiring a $50 deposit. If you adopt this will come off your adoption fee. If you meet and it’s not a good fit you will be refunded. If you cancel or no show it’s non refundable.

**Meet and greets for approved applicants must happen within 3 days or the closest weekend (for long travelers). It’s in the dogs/puppies best interest to be placed into their furever homes in a timely fashion. All household members must attend the meet and greet.

Hi! I’m Blade and my foster mom says I’m the most handsome, sweetest boy. I’m loving this family thing and exploring a fun new world. I LOVE my chew toys and playing with my foster dog sister. She’s really bossy, but I understand that, and let her be the boss. When I’m done playing I love nothing better than snuggles…they’re the best and I excel at them. I’m learning new tricks and have already mastered sit. I’m looking for a family that will love me forever, continue to help me grow, and learn new things. Most of all, I just want to love you with my whole heart as I’ve got lots of love to share.

Go meet their pets

Meet our pets through our website, Facebook and fundraisers throughout Southern WI. We are an all foster based rescue and do not have a physical shelter.

More about this rescue

Hoping Fur A Home is a volunteer run dog rescue organization serving the Southern, WI area. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs left homeless for whatever reason – dogs in public shelters where they are at high risk of euthanasia due to pet overpopulation, dogs given up by their owners because of difficult circumstances, and those in danger of abuse or neglect.
