We may be in Philly, but it seems everyone who meets this boy turns into a #1 Broncos fan! Broncos is the cutest, cuddliest, chunky boy who was found as a stray in Philly on New Years Day. While it's not the way he wanted to start his year, Broncos is staying positive and leaning on his human pals for comfort! Broncos loves to cuddle and get pets all over. He's not shy with giving kisses and is looking for a kind human to cuddle with until the end of his days.
Check out Broncos at ACCT Philly- he is available for adoption. You can meet him any day from 10am-6pm!

Behavior:
1/3/25 volunteer notes: This dog is unlike any dog I have ever seen . He makes you say Holy #*+%*# when you see him and then you giggle. He is strong on a leash, very curious , warmed up after a bit. Seems potty trained as he went immediately upon leaving kennel. Crazy looking sturdy lad but sweet .
Per Volunteer 1/2/24: Broncos is such a chunky sweet boy!! He greeted me with a loose body and wagging tail at his kennel and was very easy to leash. He’s pretty strong on leash. He’s a chunky boy and pulls moderately so would recommend a harness. Seems great with strangers- he took pets immediately from another volunteer. Such a happy go lucky boy! He takes pets all over, very cuddly and loves leaning his entire body weight into you. Very treat motivated and takes them gently! Knows sit. Super easy to handle and no issues returning to kennel
Per Staff 1/2/24: BEHAVIOR EVALUATION:
KNOWN HISTORY:
Stray
KENNEL PRESENTATION:
Broncos was on the backside of kennel for cleaning and was laying down. He came forward with neutral eyes, neutral body, and some mid level wags. He was patient for leashing and exited without issue.
LEASH SKILLS:
Did not pull frequently, but when he did he was very strong
HANDLING :
In the room Broncos was very aloof and independent. He had neutral body language and sniffed around ignoring us, checking out the room. He would occasionally come over to us to solicit and would lean in, rub against us and was tolerant to his full body being pet but was short lived and would walk off to sniff again. When engaging with us though he was very affectionate! He allowed us to touch his ears, face, paws, and belly without any issues! When a new handler walked in he greeted her with loose body language as well.
PLAY:
Some play, but minimal
TOYS:
No interest
COLOR LEVEL & ANY RECOMMENDATIONS:
Gold
Per Staff 1/1/24: Was friendly but pretty neutral, gave me a few tail wags and let me pet him and scan for a chip, but otherwise didn't solicit much attention. Very strong on leash.
