Have you heard the story about Timmy the toy bandit?? Timmy was a stray that was found at the dump in Salem. When dogs are found they are held for 8 days with animal control to see if their owners come forward to claim them. During those eight days they stay in the kennel awaiting either getting claimed or being turned over to a shelter to adopt them out. It can get pretty lonely and boring during that week! Well, one day Timmy decided he needed to have some pals to keep him company. There, above his run was a large bag filled with toys. Timmy managed to puncture a hole in bag and pull about 25 small cow stuffed animals through the bars into his run! When Cori and I entered the kennel, there was Timmy sitting quietly with a pile of cows stacked in the shape of a Xmas tree in the corner of his room! He looked calm and innocent and just as surprised as we were that they were there. The next day after the animal control officer had come and cleaned his room and fed him, we once again entered the kennel and this time he had managed to pull yet another bag of toys over to his run and pull several toys inside his room! Except this time the toys were HUGE! We don`t know how he managed to pull them all through the bars. LOL If you ever saw the movie ET and remember the scene where ET hid amongst a sea of toys and blended in with them...........that`s exactly what Timmy looked like. And that is how he got the name Timmy the Toy Bandit!
So who is Timmy?? Well like I already mentioned Timmy came in a stray. He was found at the dump in Salem, so we don`t know anything about his past. Since he`s been with us and we`ve gotten to know him, we know he is approximately 2 years old and weighs 49lbs. He loves everyone! He likes other dogs and would do fine with kids! He can get very excitable at times and jumpy, so probably older kids and not little little ones. Not sure how he would do around cats. He`s very lovable and nice to walk and has a really great disposition and personality! Timmy is a sweet boy who will make a wonderful addition to most any home! Please consider this sweetheart as your new best friend!
