Say hello to Guapo! This sweet little guy ended up at a local shelter after being picked up as a stray. Poor Guapo was in rough shape, suffering from a severe case of Demodex that needed immediate attention. We didn’t hesitate to bring him to our rescue, where he’s now on the road to recovery.
Guapo’s skin has improved so much already, though he still has a bit of healing left before he’s completely back to normal. With continued treatment and care, he’ll soon be looking and feeling his absolute best! Guapo also has an atrophied eye, likely due to a congenital deformity. While he’s blind in that eye, it doesn’t cause him any discomfort or hold him back from enjoying life. His playful nature and loving spirit shine through, proving that he’s truly resilient.
Despite everything he’s been through, Guapo’s spirit is unshaken! He’s a playful, active, and happy little guy who can’t wait to fully heal and embrace life to the fullest. He loves to run around, explore his surroundings, and show off his silly side. At just about 1 year old, Guapo is still young and full of potential, making him highly adaptable to a loving home.
Guapo adores other dogs and enjoys making new friends, both furry and human. He’s always ready to cuddle, give kisses, and soak up as much attention as he can get. This sweet, affectionate boy thrives on love and will be a devoted companion to anyone lucky enough to adopt him. If you’re interested in giving Guapo the forever home he deserves, please inquire today!

More about this rescue
Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
