Say hello to Vinnie! Vinnie is a little guy with a big story. He weighs just six pounds and is around one-year-old. Vinnie was taken in with 10 other dogs. These dogs and more were living on a property in Concho, Az. The owner was moving and wanted all the dogs euthanized, although most were young and healthy. Vinnie's personality is very classic of dogs from hoarding situations, in that he is socialized with other dogs, but not so much with people. We are open to a foster or forever family for Vinnie, that can help him with his socialization and learning how to be an indoor dog that is a part of a family. Vinnie's go-to is to avoid when the humans come near. He will run away and he can be hard to catch if he's not in an enclosed space. If you do catch Vinnie, he will allow you to hold him and even give him some kisses! We have been working to get Vinnie used to human touch, and he will now dart up to us voluntarily, but then zoom off again. Vinnie is social and playful with other dogs. He loves to run and wrestle, and play with toys. Vinnie would do best in a home with adults only, or older children. This home should be able to provide Vinnie with a safe and secure yard/house and be willing to work with him on his potty/leash training, and general socialization. Email us at chitownrescue@gmail.com for more information/meet and greet with Vinnie!
