Meet Archie, this adorable mixed breed pup in search of his forever family.

At five months old, Archie has already had to endure more pain and suffering than any dog ever should... Archie had a tough start in life—he was found as a stray, sitting patiently outside a gas station, waiting for someone to find him and love him. Thankfully, a kind-hearted rescue volunteer down in Georgia rescued him in the middle of the night and gave him the care he so desperately needed.

It turns out poor Archie had been shot in the leg and was battling an infection, but after some TLC and proper medical care, we're happy to share that he’s fully healed and you’d never know he was ever injured!

Now healthy, Archie is ready to start the next chapter of his life-- he has made his way to New York, where he’s thriving in a loving foster home. He’s a bit shy at first, but once he warms up (which doesn't take too long), he is THE sweetest snuggle bug who just wants to feel safe, secure, and loved by a family he can call his own.

His foster mom tells us he's already mastered crate training and is making great progress on potty/house training.

Archie is so ready to find his forever home where he can be showered with love and kindness. Could that Archie's forever home be with you? ♥

IMPORTANT: This dog has not yet been altered. SNARR requires a $150 deposit in addition to your adoption fee, as well as a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption. The $150 deposit will be returned once the contract has been fulfilled.

An application, agreement, personal reference check, vet reference check and home visit are required.

Adoption fees are below. All of our animals are microchipped, up to date on vaccines and fully vetted.

Puppies under 1 year : $495
Adults 1-9 years: $375
Adults 9+ years: $300
Special Needs Animals: dependant on specific animal and his or her needs

ADDITIONAL DEPOSIT of $125 for spay/ neuter for all unaltered dogs unless the spay/neuter

We are located at 46 Sodom Road, Brewster, NY. You can come stop by 7 days a week from 11am-4pm. While we have 15-18 dogs housed at our adoption center, the majority of our dogs are located in private foster homes.

SNARR Northeast Animal Rescue's mission is "Giving Hope to the Hopeless.” SNARR stands for Special Needs Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation. We do focus on animals with special needs but we also rescue perfectly healthy dogs as well! SNARR works with municipal shelters all over the country to save animals at risk for being euthanized. Our dogs (and cats) are all in foster homes prior to being adopted.
