Meet Archie, a 7-month-old Heeler mix with a heart full of love and resilience!

Archie’s journey to find his forever family hasn’t been an easy one. At just six months old, he found himself abandoned, sitting outside a gas station, waiting for someone to find him and give him the love he so deserved. But fate had other plans, and a kind rescue volunteer stepped in just in time to save him.

It was soon discovered that poor Archie had been shot in the leg and was battling an infection. Thankfully, after receiving the medical care and love he needed, Archie has made a full recovery, and you’d never know he had been through such an ordeal.

Now that Archie is healthy, he’s blossoming in his foster home in New York. While he’s a little shy at first, once he warms up, Archie is the sweetest snuggle bug you could ever meet. He’s looking for a family to call his own—one that will give him the love and security he’s been waiting for.

Archie loves the company of other dogs and would thrive in a home with another pup or two to help him gain confidence and have fun. He’s already mastered crate training and is making great strides with potty training.

An application, agreement, personal reference check, vet reference check and home visit are required.

Adoption fees are below. All of our animals are microchipped, up to date on vaccines and fully vetted.

Puppies under 1 year : $495
Adults 1-9 years: $375
Adults 9+ years: $300
Special Needs Animals: dependant on specific animal and his or her needs

ADDITIONAL DEPOSIT of $125 for spay/ neuter for all unaltered dogs unless the spay/neuter

We are located at 46 Sodom Road, Brewster, NY. You can come stop by 7 days a week from 11am-4pm. While we have 15-18 dogs housed at our adoption center, the majority of our dogs are located in private foster homes.

SNARR Northeast Animal Rescue's mission is "Giving Hope to the Hopeless.” SNARR stands for Special Needs Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation. We do focus on animals with special needs but we also rescue perfectly healthy dogs as well! SNARR works with municipal shelters all over the country to save animals at risk for being euthanized. Our dogs (and cats) are all in foster homes prior to being adopted.
