My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fun loving, sweetheart Dandy is a 50lbs, 2 years old, female mix breed dog looking for a home with lots of love to share.

Dandy was left with friends when her owner took a trip and never returned for her. Unable to care for her any longer, her temporary family were forced to take Dandy to the city shelter.

Dandy was absolutely terrified and completely shut down when we met her at the shelter, but thankfully the care and attention she received in her foster home allowed Dandy to relax, recover and become the perfect foster dog.

Dandy likes lots of attention whether it’s playtime or snuggle time, she is always ready to hang out. Dandy loves to get cozy with blankets/pillows, she enjoys finding a safe space in her crate and knows some basic commands including sit, paw, drop it, leave it, stay, and come. She's a good listener and fast learner!

She is a medium energy, very dog friendly, young lady who would ideally like an adult only home with another playful dog for her to bond with.

She occasionally becomes nervous when walking outside, especially when there are large and/or loud vehicles around. Loud noises in the home are also distressing for her and for this reason we think Dandy would do best in a home with no small children. She has not been officially cat tested but has shown no prey drive when seeing them on the street.

If you think you can give Dandy all the love she deserves and would like to meet her, please go to Petstablished.com or follow the link below to complete an application to adopt. All of our animals are in foster homes. For the sake of our animals and foster families, you must have an approved application with references before you can meet them.

More about this rescue

We are a unique rescue, aiming to appeal to people who typically buy from pet stores and breeders. We want to promote adoption in a positive and fun way. We have the same goal as other shelters- to find homeless dogs and cats their forever homes, but we want to change the stigma some people have towards shelters and its animals by creating a chic place that people will want to go to.
We are always on the lookout for animal lovers who are interested in fostering our pets. Please contact us if you would like to assist us with this or other volunteer opportunities.
