My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Vixen, an adorable 12-week-old pocket pittie mix who will grow to be small to mid-sized. This sweet pup is bursting with energy but calms down quickly and loves to snuggle. She’s mostly housebroken, though she’s still mastering making it to the door on time in a new environment. Vixen is crate-trained and hasn’t had any accidents there, and her treat-driven, eager-to-please personality makes her a joy to train.

Vixen is a gentle, passive pup who enjoys following her bigger siblings around and adores her foster mom most of all. She’s currently teething but does well as long as she has something appropriate to chew. Vixen would thrive in a home with or without another dog and would do best with slightly older kids who understand her puppy stage. She’s ready to bring her loving, playful spirit to her forever family—could it be yours?

Adoption fee is $400, which includes spay/neuter, microchip, a clean bill of health, boosters and flea/tick/heartworm preventatives up to their spay/neuter surgery.

More about this rescue

RESCUEDohio was founded on August 1, 2015 by a group of dedicated animal lovers in the central Ohio area. The founders came from various different vocational backgrounds, but all have one thing in common: the passion to save dogs. Before starting RESCUEDohio, they were previously involved in different aspects of rescue, including fostering, fundraising, coordinating and training. The mission of this group is to help find homes for unwanted and abandoned dogs and to advocate for the rights of all animals everywhere.
