FIGGY came into the rescue accidentally as he was trapped when we were trapping feral cats in a barn. He was very small (600gms) and we can’t even figure out how he set the trap off to get caught in it but somehow he did. He seemed pretty friendly so he was sent to be assessed by a foster and he did very well and we’re so happy he didn’t have to go back to the barn. He’s had his first vaccine, a microchip, dewormer and been deemed a healthy boy by his vet. His neuter is booked for February 25th and his adopter must be willing to bring him to Barrie for his appointment. He’s a super sweet little guy but he’s still a bit on the timid side. He does like to be held but it’s on his terms and when he’s had enough of being held m, he’ll simply jump off you.
FIGGY’s litter box trained and had never had an accident outside of it. He’s just starting to climb up the cat teee but he hadn’t managed to quite get to the top of it yet. He loves to eat and all his food in one go so he has to be fed twice daily so as he doesn’t over eat and eat everything all at once. He loves to play hard and will run through his tunnel and chase his toys all around the floor. He hasn’t met any other animals but seeing as he’s just a kitten he should get along with others provided slow, monitored introductions are done.
FIGGY would like his home to be on the quiet side and not too busy as he just likes to have the quiet life without too much fuss and bother. Children should be age 10 and up for him as they seem to scare him and he’ll just hide from them. They should also be gentle, loving and kind to animals.
If FIGGY sounds like the guy for you then please submit a foster application to meet him.
